This is the nearest "chain" hotel to the Tucson train station. It is several blocks away, south of the tracks, and has no view of the tracks.

This hotel is directly across the street from the Tucson Amtrak (SP) Station; I noticed it while driving through Tucson. It is a historic multi-story building; I did not have a chance to walk into it to see if it is 'tourist friendly'. Its location does not provide much of a view of the tracks, though.

Winslow - La Posada Hotel

The La Posada is the former Winslow Harvey House, which served wary rail passengers under the Santa Fe. It is now possible to take the train to this beautifully restored historic landmark once again. In fact, the La Posada owns the adjacent Amtrak station served daily by the Southwest Chief.
