Although this nicely refurbished hotel is only two blocks from Amtrak's Union Station, the climb up the hill is a bit steep with luggage. Call the hotel upon arrival and they will either send a shuttle or reimburse you for a taxi.

Hotel is down the street from the Old Saybrook train station on the North East corridor.I was told that hotel will under go renovations and re open during the summer of 2003.Great pictures of Amtrak, Shore Line East Commuter, and P& W. The Essex Steam Train also runs a train down from Essex to pickup passengers from the station from May to Sept.
