I have stayed at the Olde Towne Inn several times and found it to be reasonably priced compared for DC area lodging. It's an older property and the rooms are a little smaller than you might find in newer chain hotels. Commuting into DC to sightsee on weekdays is easy (and affordable) using VRE....less predictable on weekends when Amtrak's sometimes late 'Crescent' is the only rail option.
