The Maverick Motel now offers free shuttle to and from the Amtrak Station. My wife and I walked as it is close enough to do so, and then found they had send a shuttle to pick us up without us even asking! Early check-in is no problem. The rooms are great with refrigerator, microwave and very low rates. Located right by downtown. Management if very friendly and helpful.
