I booked a single room, it was on the 22nd floor. It was clean but very small no more than 4 feet from the bed to any wall, the bathroom was small with fixtures right out of the 30's. -Really fine for a place to drop of your bags and sleep for the night.````The Hallways were long and dark, with no decoration and painted a drab institutional light green. The lobby was large and airry and the staff was quick and courtious. The central location one block north of Penn Station make this a great place for Rail Passengers to drop there bags and enjoy an evening stroll three blocks to the Empire State Building````Overall a good clean no frills location at a reasonable price.``

I've only stayed here once, but based on that stay I would certainly return. It's much better maintained than the Pennsylvania, the staff is better, the room furnishings were better, and it's really about the same distance from the Amtrak platforms. Check-in and check-out were quick, even though I came in with no reservation. The least expensive rooms are small, but if you just want a place to sleep when you're not doing something in the city, it's fine.
