This is a brand new extended stay hotel (opened fall '02), behind the Holiday Inn. Usually ok to stay only 1 night at these places. West side of hotel faces the mountains (through trees) and the Joint Line (80%+ coal trains) runs less than 1/4 mile west of the property. Some side views of the tracks, but not able to view approaching trains from either direction.

This hotel is in north Colorado Springs, near the Woodmen exit to I-25. Four stories; south facing rooms (I had 402) have a view of the Joint Line, which is single track in the area. No grade crossings nearby. Several restaurants and 24-hr gas/convenience store walking distance. Old Rock Island roundhouse/trolley museum about 4 mi south of this location.

Located in the Rocky Mountains with views from the common areas and bedrooms of the train station and tracks. Each room has a private bath. A hot tub is located outside with a view of the tracks ( seats 5 ). Full hot breakfast, Rooms on three separate levels, sunroom. Five Winter Sports Resorts nearby ( largest Winter Park Resort), National Forest 1/4 mile, Rocky Mountain National Park 35 miles. All kinds of outdoor summer and winter sports.

100ft from the UP Mainline (D&RGW), half an hour's drive to the Moffat Tunnel, and close to surrounding towns for supplies. "Bed and fix your own breakfast". Not a hotel but a cabin for rental.
