Desk clerk had no brochures; said hotel will become a Hilton brand in early 2003; same phone number. This hotel is near 'Sandown' on the UP "Kansas Pacific" line, near the aband. Rock Island cutoff junction. Five stories; west and south facing windows view tracks. A few unit trains and mixed freight; unrepainted D&RGW and WP cars/equipment seen in area.

Located just north of the Lower Downtown area at interchange of I-25 and Park Ave West/38th Ave. The hotel is just west of the BNSF 31st Street yard. The yardmaster tower is just east of the hotel at the south end of the yard. Ask for rooms on the 3rd floor, east side of the hotel. The hotel features a daily complimentary continental breakfast featuring Maxwell House® coffee, Otis Spunkmeyer® pastries, Yoplait® yogurt, fresh fruit, milk and juices.
