The rear of the hotel over looks the Kanakee NS Line.... Assorted power of NS, UP, BNSF etc can be seen from the hotel. Many times the trains stop there, awaiting northward moves. Pictures from the hotel windows at best during the AM hours. Southbound moves also stop here at times awaiting northbound trains to enter siding for passes. The tracks run north-south. No fences around tracks, can see over a mile of more in either direction when at track side.
