This two-story motor hotel, located just south of Ashland, Kentucky, is directly across the road from the former C&O (now CSX) mainline. Every room has a view of the tracks from it's front window and there are frequent train movements (including Amtrak's tri-weekly 'Cardinal') day and night. Ashland's Amtrak station is only two to three miles away.

Ashland Ky Used to Be a Holiday inn x-press and has changed hands and names several times sence I was their in 98 it is on the CSX MAIN LINE Half way between Kanova WV and AK STEEL's Secound Plant their is a passing siding and signal bridge in the area

Victorian-era two story B&B, four guest rooms, right next to the CSX line (formerly Louisville & Nashville), and one block from the riverfront where the train bridge crosses the Ohio R. Lots of north-south CSX traffic. Solid old brick house, so surprisingly the train noise is slightly muted. Fabulous if you love train noise in the night! Very comfortable and decorated in railroad motif.
