An excellent place to savor trains and railroading in the Fred Harvey tradition. The hotel has been redecorated and renovated with an unconscious attention to historical detail making it all the more genuine.The owner/managers are helpful and friendly to all comers and although they don`t court railfans they are more than accomodating and literally allow you the run of the place.Common sense being the dictate.``Accomodations are comfortable ``, even elegant in a Spanish Colonial rugged sense, and there is a superb, slightly pricey, restaurant on the premises with a wonderful menu and wine list to soothe away the aches of daylong (and nightlong)railfanning.
