Great motel. 50's style concrete teepee. Wicker furniture.``Interesting shaped shower!!! I love this place. I've stayed here several times and would again. Near tracks - but sound of trains soothing - meanwhile you're on route 66.``

I stayed here in October 2003 and can say it is well worth spending the night while traveling Route 66. There are the unusual shapes inside, the tiny window (secondary windows hold A/C unit these days), plus old cool cars parked in front of each teepee. The motel lobby is panneled in beautiful wood. The owner is the son of the man who built the motel so be sure to talk to him regarding its history. They sell arty postcards of the motel and the fob that comes with your room key is for sale too - a unique souveneir.

No trip on Route 66 is complete without a stop at the WigWam Motel in Holbrook, Arizona. Clean, cheap, comfy and a piece of American history - what more could you ask for. While you are there, have dinner at the steak house just down the street.````
