Would defently recommend the Hilton Old Town Alexandria to any railfan planning a trip to the Washington DC Area. About 90% of the Rooms overlook the old RF&P Main which CSX, NS, VRE, and Amtrak traverse everyday. Hotel staff is very nice when asking for a view on the upper level of hotel facing the tracks. Also for the subway fans - excellent views of the King Street Metro Station (Blue & Yellow Lines) can be seen from your personal hotel room. Indoor Pool located in hotel too. One of my personal favorites.
