Stayed two nights, a real thrill in this former Lackawanna central station in the heart of downtown. Radisson did a superb job of melding its hotel rooms into this historic building without comprising the turn-of-the-century train station atmosphere. Sitting at the bar in what was the main waiting room under a stained glass ceiling, I thought I could faintly hear departure and arrival announcements peppered by an occasional steam whistle. Rooms are pricey, but luxurious. Staff is A-1. Restaurant is classy and food is marvelous. Located within walking distance of Steamtown National Historic site, which is a must for anyone like myself with steam on the brain.
